Mission Statement

The Miller-Motte College Library is organized and funded to support the overall mission and stated goals of the College. The Library acquires and organizes appropriate information resources for use by students, faculty and staff. The Library staff places strong emphasis on providing effective reference assistance and instruction to users, while facilitating maximum use of all available resources. From this site our patrons have direct access to online research databases and program websites.

LIRN Databases

The Library has subscribed to a package of online databases to assist you with your research.  LIRN provides access to excellent reference materials as well as full text newspaper and magazine articles, videos and podcasts. The LIRN link is under Hot Links on the right.

Stop in the Library and ask for the subscription password

Log in, then:

  • CONNECT TO LIRN SEARCH to search all the LIRN databases at once for a BROAD SEARCH


  • CONNECT TO INFOTRAC to select specific databases for Medical, Business and other courses


  • CREDO REFERENCE to search for REFERENCE ebooks


  • PROQUEST for psychology journals or newspapers


  • ELIBRARY to look at almanacs, encyclopedias for fast questions, newspapers and magazines


  • OPPOSING VIEWPOINTS for persuasive research on popular controversial issues
